Nature 
Holiday park Arber is located in the Bavarian and Bohemian Forest nature conservation area. This forest area is the largest contiguous primeval forest in Europe. A unique piece of Europe. In this oldest national park in Germany, nature has been developing undisturbed for 40 years despite all human influences. Dense primeval forests, rolling hills and beautiful meadows create a fascinating landscape that offers endless possibilities in both summer and winter. The Grosse Arber, also known as the "King of the Bavarian Forest", is with its 1456 meters the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest. Culture & Entertainment 
Winter sport highlights and World Cup skiing In the area of Zwiesel, with its many winter sport options, various international winter sport competitions are held annually. For more than 35 years, World Cup and European Cup ski competitions have been held on the Grosse Arber. All international top athletes compete for the victory over the Arber, the "King" of the Bavarian Forest. International cross-country skiing and biathlon competitions are also held in Zwiesel every winter. 

The Grosse Grenzland party Zwiesel is close to the Czech and Austrian borders. Since 1949 there has been a big Grenzland party in Zwiesel every year. A week long party, starting the Saturday before the third Sunday in July. The city is buzzing with activities throughout the week. Live music, party tents, local delicacies, an annual fair and many other attractions that belong to a true folk festival. Glass of course plays an important role. The locals will often come in traditional Bavarian costumes. In short, pack Lederhose or Dirndl and if you want to participate. 

Zwieseler Pied woodpecker art exhibition. Every year in August and September the “Zwiesler Buntspecht” exhibition is held for Art lovers. In 2020 it is the 58st time that this exhibition opens its doors. Artists from all over Bavaria exhibit their work here. The Zwieseler Glasstagen is held every two years at the end of the summer. This is the largest glass art exhibition in Germany and attracts visitors from all over Europe. A colorful collection of sometimes eccentric forms of glass and imaginative objects. The highlight of the glass days is undoubtedly the glass night. A spectacular night experience with glass, fire and light. Until midnight there is a varied program with music, culinary indulgence and opening up of all museums and galleries. Visitors can easily find their way to the activities through the thousands of lights. A spectacle that you cannot miss. Folk music days In November you can witness the old Bavarian Folk music tradition in Zwiesel. Every year a folk music competition takes place where various artists from the entire region perform traditional Bavarian music, Schlagers and other music pieces.

Glasstadt Zwiesel 
Holiday park Arber is located on the edge of the Glasstadt Zwiesel, an air spa town recognized since 1972, surrounded by the three mountains Falkenstein, Rachel and Hennenkobel. The city, which is located along the glass route, is internationally known for its high-quality glass industry. Besides numerous glass production companies and points of sale, it is the only city in the world that has a Glass Queen. Although many new industries have now found their way to Zwiesel, glass and wood production remained present in the region. 

The city of Zwiesel feels connected to this age-old tradition to this day. In the city, for example, all facets of old glass art can still be found. Every year various events take place around the glass phenomenon, such as the Zwieseler Glastage and the Zwieseler Kölbl. The Glasnacht takes place annually in the center of Zwiesel. Visitors come from far and wide to be part of this special event. All residents of Zwiesel faithfully celebrate the Glass Night under the motto: "Fein Glas, gut Holz sind Zwiesels Stolz". In Zwiesel you will find famous glass blowers, art exhibitions and museums. 

The beer and schnapps brewery in Zwiesel are also worth a visit. In addition, the underground aisle system is a real attraction, which you as a guest can also visit during special exhibitions. The 86 meter high „St. Nikolaus "church, also called the" Dom of the Bavarian Forest "and the largest glass pyramid in the world. This glass pyramid is made by Zwiesel Kristallglas AG and consists of 93,655 wine glasses. The center of Zwiesel can be easily reached on foot, by bike or with the free city bus. You can also enjoy yourself in Zwiesel in the evening. Many restaurants and bars invite you to try genuine Bavarian specialties. In the Rotwaldglashütte you can even show off your skills as a glassblower while enjoying a pint of beer.
